This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect Personal Information in connection with (i) the websites where this Privacy Policy is posted (the “Sites”) and (ii) any calls, forms, quote requests, lead routing, or other interactions with us (the “Services”).

For clarity, “Sites” does not include websites owned or controlled by third parties, even if they link to our Sites.

“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to you. Depending on your interaction with the Sites and Services, we may collect:

Identifiers and contact details: name, email, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code, IP address, online identifiers

Demographics: age or date of birth, gender, marital status (if provided)

Insurance-related information: product interest, household size, household income range, eligibility or preference information, and other information you provide to help match you with plan options

Communications: recordings of calls, voicemails, emails, texts, chats, and other communications with us or through our systems

Device and network data: browser type, device type, device identifiers, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, and other technical identifiers

Internet activity: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, referring and exit pages, and similar activity data

Inferences: preferences and attributes inferred from the information above for matching, fraud prevention, and marketing

B. Sensitive Personal Information

Depending on what you submit, certain information may be considered “sensitive” under some state laws (for example, limited health-related screening responses used for insurance matching). If we process sensitive information, we do so only as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

C. Business Information

If you are a business contact (buyer, vendor, publisher, agency, call center), we may collect business-related information (for example, business name, address, tax identifiers, payment information). To the extent any of this information relates to an identifiable person, we treat it as Personal Information.

D. Deidentified or Aggregated Information

We may create deidentified or aggregated information from Personal Information. We will maintain and use deidentified information in a deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except as permitted by law.

2. How We Collect Information

A. Information You Provide

We collect information you provide when you:

complete a form

request a quote

call or text a number associated with the Services

communicate with us by email or other channels

provide information during a matching or intake process

You are not required to provide Personal Information, but if you choose not to, you may not be able to use certain features or receive Services.

B. Information From Third Parties

We may receive Personal Information from third parties such as:

marketing and publisher partners

lead providers and aggregators

analytics providers

compliance and consent verification vendors

publicly available sources

C. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

We and third parties may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, session replay, and similar tools to operate the Sites, personalize your experience, measure performance, prevent fraud, and support advertising. Details are below in “Cookies and Tracking Choices.”

D. Information Related to Advertising

If you arrive via an advertisement, we may receive information about the ad and your interaction with it (for example, click timestamp, campaign identifiers).

route calls and inquiries and support customer service

verify and improve data accuracy and lead quality

personalize content and improve user experience

support analytics, troubleshooting, and performance measurement

4. How We Share Information (Including Sale/Share)

A. Service Providers

We may share Personal Information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including:

hosting, infrastructure, and security providers

lead management and routing platforms

analytics providers

communication providers (email, SMS, call tracking)

compliance and consent documentation providers

professional advisors (legal, accounting)

Service Providers are permitted to use Personal Information only to perform services for us (subject to contract and applicable law).

B. Network Partners (Insurance Distribution)

If you request a quote or submit an inquiry, you understand and agree that we may provide your Personal Information to third parties in our distribution network (“Network Partners”), which may include:

licensed insurance agents and agencies

insurance carriers

lead aggregators and marketing partners

other insurance service providers

Important: Network Partners may retain and use your information under their own privacy practices, even if you do not ultimately enroll. You should review and contact Network Partners directly regarding their privacy practices.

C. Sale or Sharing for Targeted Advertising

Some disclosures of Personal Information to third parties may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain state privacy laws (for example, disclosures to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, or transfers to certain partners for value). You may have the right to opt out. See “Additional State Consumer Rights” and “Cookies and Tracking Choices.”

We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of individuals under 16.

D. Legal, Safety, and Corporate Events

We may disclose Personal Information:

to comply with law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request

to protect rights, safety, and security of our users, partners, and the public

to investigate suspected fraud or wrongdoing

in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale

5. Cookies and Tracking Choices

Interest-based advertising opt-outs

You can opt out of certain interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) tools. Opt-outs are device- and browser-specific. Clearing cookies may remove opt-out preferences.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand Site performance and user behavior.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track.” Our Sites may not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Where required by law, we honor applicable opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control for sale/sharing related to targeted advertising.

6. Communication Recording

We may record and retain telephone calls and other communications for quality assurance, training, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. By communicating with us, you consent to recording where permitted by law.

We may use vendors that capture consent and session evidence to document compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws.

7. Marketing Communications and Consent

By providing your contact information through the Sites or Services, you agree that we and our Network Partners may contact you using the information you provide, including by email, phone, and text message. Depending on the context, calls or texts may include automated dialing systems or prerecorded messages where permitted by law and based on the consent you provide.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at the email address below. Opt-out requests generally apply to the sender you contact. If you want Network Partners to stop contacting you, you may need to contact those Network Partners directly.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information as long as reasonably necessary to:

provide Services

maintain records and demonstrate compliance (including TCPA)

prevent fraud and abuse

resolve disputes and enforce agreements

comply with legal obligations

Retention periods vary based on the data type and legal requirements.

10. Links to Other Websites

Our Sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

11. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes are effective when posted. If we make material changes that impact how we use previously collected Personal Information, we will provide notice as required by law.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Sites and Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13.

13. Additional State Consumer Rights

If you are a resident of a state with privacy rights (which may include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and others), you may have the right to:

Access: request the categories and, in some cases, specific pieces of Personal Information we collected

Delete: request deletion of Personal Information, subject to legal exceptions

Correct: request correction of inaccurate Personal Information

Opt out: opt out of sale of Personal Information and certain targeted advertising

Appeal: appeal our denial of a request where applicable

Response timing

We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Some opt-out requests may be processed more quickly than access or deletion requests.

Where permitted (for example, California), you may use an authorized agent. We may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.

Nevada residents

Nevada residents may opt out of certain sales of personal information by contacting us at contact@AlignedCoverage.com

Non-discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Cookie tools are separate

Requests to opt out of sale/sharing do not necessarily disable cookies already in your browser. Use cookie settings and browser controls to manage tracking technologies.

This section applies only to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy.

Categories of Personal Information collected

We may collect the categories listed in Section 1, including identifiers, internet/network information, communications, commercial information, and inferences. We may collect limited sensitive information where necessary for insurance matching and compliance.

Purposes

We use Personal Information for the purposes described in Section 3.

Sale/Share

We may sell or share certain Personal Information as described in Section 4 (for example, to Network Partners and for cross-context behavioral advertising). California residents may opt out.
